Second Life is a free-to-play 3D massively multiplayer online (MMO) virtual world game developed by Linden Labs. The game allows you to create an avatar (Resident) where you can explore the entire virtual world (also known as The Grid) and interact, socialize and participate in various activities with other Residents in the world.
The game client is free and open-source download. There is no charge creating an account and an avatar. But there iis an option for upgrading to a (Premium Account) for a fee. This will enable the user access to more services such as: buying and trading virtual real estate, creation of multiple avatars and more.
